3. Description of how our Services meet Accessibility Requirements

We endeavor to make our digital offerings accessible in accordance with the legal requirements. The specific technical measures are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 with conformance levels A and AA. To assess conformity, automated tests, manual tests and functional tests with assistive technologies were carried out by our internal team of experts (self-assessment). We are guided by the four basic principles of accessibility:

3.1 Perceptibility

  • We offer text alternatives for non-textual content such as images and graphics
  • Our content is designed in such a way that it can be presented in various forms
  • We pay attention to sufficient contrasts between text and background
  • Audio and video content is provided with subtitles or transcriptions

3.2 Usability

  • All functions can be operated via the keypad
  • Users have enough time to read and use content
  • We refrain from content that could trigger seizures
  • We offer assistance for navigation and orientation

3.3 Comprehensibility

  • Texts are legible and easy to understand
  • Websites behave predictably
  • We help users to avoid and correct errors

3.4 Robustness

  • Our content is compatible with current and future technologies
  • We use standard-compliant programmingNon-accessible content and current status of implementation

4. Non-accessible Content:

We are continuously working to make our website accessible. Some areas currently do not fully meet the requirements. Below, we provide transparent information about the current status and our planned improvements:

  • Interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields): Some interactive elements do not yet have an “accessible name” or are not always clearly recognizable as interactive. This can make it difficult for people who rely on screen readers or other assistive technologies to use the website. We are gradually optimizing these areas so that everyone can use the website comfortably.
  • Keyboard accessibility and focus:  Certain functions such as the cookie banner, sliders, filters, or navigation elements are currently not fully usable with the keyboard. In some cases, a visible focus indicator is missing. We are working to further improve keyboard usability and to make the focus more visible.
  • Forms:
Our forms are not yet fully accessible in all respects. For example, clear labels or hints for input errors are sometimes missing. We are gradually adapting the forms to make them easy to understand and fill out.
  • Instruction manuals for our tea machines (PDF format):
These documents relate to products that do not fall within the scope of the national implementation laws of the European Accessibility Act. They were also created before the relevant laws came into force and are covered by the exception for archive documents. Upon request, we are happy to provide these contents in an alternative format and are gradually developing new manuals to be accessible.
  • Magazines:
Magazine articles and vouchers do not yet contain complete alt texts or detailed descriptions everywhere. These contents were also created before the national implementation laws came into force and are covered by the exception for archive documents. For product images in active sales areas, we are continuously adding alt texts.
  • Contact form:
The contact form does not currently meet all accessibility requirements. We are working on an improved, accessible version. In the meantime, contact can be made by e-mail or telephone via the service center (contact details see point 5).
  • Temporary campaign pages and marketing promotions:
Some temporary campaign pages and special promotions that are not directly part of the purchasing process do not yet meet all accessibility requirements. These pages are not directly relevant for concluding contracts. Campaign pages with direct purchase options are given priority for accessible design. For purely informational and marketing pages, accessible alternatives are gradually being introduced. Key information can always be found on the accessible webshop pages.
  • Embedded videos:
For some application videos, full accessibility cannot currently be guaranteed. These contents are being continuously revised.
